Primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and UN Messenger of Peace Jane Goodall.

I wrote a report on Jane Goodall in fourth grade. I remember looking at pictures of her, choosing pictures of her to present, and thinking of how much she reminded me of my mother. It was the low ponytail and the shape of her face; but there is a calm serenity in Jane Goodall’s expressions that defined her character and resilience. Tranquil, steadfast, determined– strong without being hard.

The Jane Goodall Institute manages projects across the globe in conservation science, preservation, research, policy, and sustainability. For more info, explore the global map outlining their efforts.
